Absolutely fantastic work. We have a 200+ year old farmhouse and wanted to bring it back to its former glory by clearing away massive overgrowth and tall bushes close to the home that were obscuring the house and growing through outside wiring. Ken and his sons got this big job done within only a week, disentangled the bushes without interfering with wiring, and graded our property to help with water drainage. I am even more in love with my house now and can't say enough about their professionalism and skill. A couple of my neighbors were so impressed with their work, they also hired them!

Working with Ken, Rowan and Roger on a complex, multi-pronged drainage, landscape and hardscape project has been nothing short of inspiring. It was by pure chance I was put in touch with them late last summer - and during a time when it was incredibly difficult to come by any contractors, with availability and/or enthusiasm to take on a job with unknown parameters. At every step, we have had full confidence in their abilities, ranging from the engineering of drainage issues to the artistry of retrofitting new stone materials into a patio with old, character-filled granite curbing, to truly create a one-of-a-kind outdoor living area. Things we never thought possible - such as resetting sunken granite steps and stoops - are exactly where Ken and his team excel. They have been great partners in our long-haul restoration project, and beyond being skilled craftsmen, are also really wonderful people to know!

Ken and Rowan are a pleasure to work with and we could not be happier with the work they did for us. They took a very large, pea stone patio area from sad to amazing by adding curbing along three sides (to separate the pea stone area from the lawn and driveway), refreshed the pea stone in between pavers on our long walkway, and we able to smartly cover up some ugly yard drainage while allowing it to still function properly. Our project was a bit unusual but they had the expertise (and enthusiasm!) to help us figure it out. They spent many hours beforehand problem solving and planning out the project with us. Ken communicated with us throughout all the materials purchases and both Ken and Rowan were very responsive to all our requests. On top of that, they got the project done within a tight timeframe as we had a deadline. We gained so much confidence in them that we have 3 more large projects (large retaining wall, walkways, and a drainage area along our driveway) that we plan to hire them for!

"ABSOLUTELY SUPERB" - Ken and Rowen were contracted to install Round River Rock Stone along approximately 180 feet (both sides) of my driveway. Ken promptly answered my request for an estimate. The next day he arrived to view the job and was very thorough about understanding my expectations for the project, He offered advice and is very knowledgeable about how to do top quality work. After my reviewing other estimates my decision was to go with McAdams Excavating, Ken and Rowen arrived as promised and quickly began meticulous work. Material was excavated to provide a 3 inch depth of stone, landscape fabric was installed, finally the stone. The duo were meticulous in all facets of this project and it looks absolutely gorgeous! Do not hesitate to hire this company!!!

I had Ken come out to look at a stump removal and I mentioned a retaining wall project I needed to get done. Ken took some quick measurements and then came back again late that afternoon with his team and took more precise measurements. That evening I had a quote that was comprehensive and fairly priced.
